mission who are we

PMI is a unique management company.   Our approach to meeting the needs of our clients is so distinctive from our competitors that it is unlike any other management company in the industry.

From inception to its present diverse components, PMI’s mission is firmly rooted in community growth and development.   Originally created to take on the fiscal responsibility involved in bringing events to the County’s Arena and Expo Hall, PMI became the risk taker.   In 1983 we assumed management of the Visitor & Convention Bureau, the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena, and adjoining Shopko Hall. In 2002, we were awarded management of the 10,000 seat Resch Center.   In addition to the fiscal responsibility and profitable operations of this three-venue Complex over the last 21 years, PMI accepted the challenge to expand the offering, including:

  • Spearheading the development and construction of the 10,000 seat Resch Center, the third venue of the Brown County Veterans Memorial Complex (BCVMC).
  • Further developing industry appeal of the Resch Center by creating a system whereby it can be scaled back to a 5,000 seat intimate theatre set-up called “Theatre at the Resch Center”.
  • Purchasing the Green Bay Gamblers Hockey Team, securing one of three major tenants for the Resch Center.
  • Incepting and implementing an in-house ticketing system, known as Ticket Star, and recently upgrading to a high-tech, state-of-the-art system owned and operated by Paciolan, out of Irving California.
  • Accepting management responsibility for the Meyer Theatre Downtown Green Bay in 2004 when its Board felt it needed new direction and improved financial accountability to survive.
  • Securing Arena/Expo/Resch signage packages, club seats and luxury suites to help fund the operation and growth of the BCVMC.
  • Creating, staging and promoting new events including such shows as The Wedding Show, Halloween Sweet Street, Senior Expo, Parent Expo and the Einstein Science Expo to name a few.
  • Managing an outstanding Food & Beverage operation which provides concessions and catering services to clients as diverse as Disney on Ice, Ducks Unlimited, Clear Channel and the City of Green Bay.
  • Managing a full-service Marketing Department that specializes in event marketing, event promotion, public relations, media management, brand identity, sponsorships and sales.
  • Creating an economic impact for the Brown County Veterans Memorial Complex from September 1, 2002 through August 31, 2004 of:

Total Economic Gain to the Green Bay Area - $45,201,001

Total Increase in Earnings to the Green Bay Area - $13,121,187

Resulting Increase in Area Employment – 1401 jobs

Total Economic Impact Lodging/Restaurants
Separate from Above - $29,612,20

What makes PMI unique is the foundation on which we were built.   We are a non-stock private corporation.   We have no shareholders that dictate self-serving policies that might enable us to profit while our clients do not.   The genesis of PMI was born out of the necessity to stimulate tourism, events, and services by better utilizing and managing a county-owned, multi-purpose facility.   In the process, we have developed the managerial expertise and political sensitivity to meet the needs of our clients and the local political community.

PMI has worked for decades to balance the needs of the community with the needs of the elected officials in fiscally responsible operations.   We are proud of our distinctive, successful and unique approach to business and its uncommon blend of operations, community development, ticketing, food and beverage operations, and marketing and promotional talent.
